The participants consisted of undergraduate and postgraduate students from 26 universities in palm oil-producing and consuming countries. This workshop lasted four days, from 27 to 30 September 2021. At the start of the workshop, participants shared their perceptions about sustainability through videos. The participants were then divided into ten groups, each sharing an introduction video.

On the first day of the workshop, two resource persons, Daniel Prakarsa (Golden Agri-Resources – GAR) and Ghislaine Auméras (Stéarinerie Dubois) presented their material on supply chains. The second day of the workshop continued with the topic of Deforestation, in which two resource persons, Jean-Marc Roda (CIRAD/University Putra Malaysia) and Janice Lee (Nanyang Technological University), presented their material. The topic for the third day was certification, with two attending resource persons, namely Alain Rival (CIRAD) and Dupito D. Simamora (CPOPC). On the final day, the workshop presented videos from 10 groups on the three previous topics.
